Since this is my final newsletter as a teacher of Admire Elementary School, I would like to take the opportunity to express my overwhelming gratitude to all the students, parents, patrons, and fellow colleagues I have worked with throughout my tenure here. From the time that Mrs. Gwendolyn Helton, then principal of Admire Elementary School; and the Superintend of schools, Mr. Joe Hargrave, offered me a contract to begin teaching here in 1973, this community has been home. My family moved to Admire in 1976, when our son, Mike, was a baby. Our children Mike, Emily, and Nikki were given excellent educational and athletic opportunities as students and children of this district and community. So, from my family and myself, I would like to offer a big THANK YOU to everyone in the community and Unified District 251.
