Benefit Spaghetti Feed
August 1 Noon – 2pm
Kristi was diagnosed with a fast growing lung cancer while visiting relatives in Finland last month. Her health insurance did not cover overseas treatment forcing the payment of over $20,000 to get her emergency treatment and back to the states. She is undergoing treatment at KU Med Center.
Kristi teaches at Northern Heights High School and has coached track and cross-country. Her parents are Bob and Elaine Karr who operate The Orchard fruit farm north of Emporia.
Sunday, August 1, from Noon to 2 pm, a Spaghetti Feed will be held in the Reading Elementary lunchroom to help defray costs. Spaghetti, salad, bread, drink, and brownie or cake ala mode will be served for a donation.
