2011 Governor's Achievement Award

The fourth annual Governor's Achievement Awards, honoring top performing schools in the state of Kansas were just announced, and Northern Heights High School was chosen as one of only 18 high schools to receive this award!

Requirements for this award are as follows:

• The school must have achieved the Standard of Excellence in both reading and mathematics for 2011.
• The school must have made Adequate Yearly Progress (AYP) in both reading and mathematics and one additional measure in 2011. (For high schools - this means graduation rate.)
• The school must have been among schools in the top 5% in both reading and mathematics on the 2011 state assessments at its respective level.

Without administrative support, highly qualified teachers and all other staff, this achievement would not have been possible. Thank you.
