English Student's Poetry

Mr. Becker's English Classes are writing poetry. Below are some of those poems:

The Hammer by Anonymous

The hammer

Hitting hard

In your face

Knocking you out

The hammer

Building the gym floor

That our school

doesn’t have

The hammer

Beating

The window

Taking your anger out

The anger

Of not having

A gym floor

The hammer

Building

The chair

You sit in

on a daily

The hammer

Can be use

In good

Or in bad

Roses by Nataleigh Davis

Roses are red as blood.

Pointy as needles

And smooth as glass.

Dark as night

And romantic

As the moon lit sky.

A symbol of love

And a symbol of death.

Fragile as ashes

And strong as a rock.

It smells pretty when its alive

But when its dead

It goes away.

Its stem is green as grass.

Its petals look like drips of blood

And are light as a feather.

Its thorns can hurt you with the slightest touch.

Roses can be good or

They can be bad.

But whatever they are there pretty rad.
