Baseball season is almost upon us once again. The Northern Heights Wildcats look to improve on their 4-14 campaign from a year ago, and the outlook is good. The Wildcats return 8 of 9 starters including all-league center fielder Casey Atchison and all-league honorable mentions Gail Lee and Garrett Schumann. Coach Wilson is excited with the 17 athletes who signed up this year and really feels that this team is poised to make some serious noise in the Flinthills League this year as well as next, due to a junior dominated lineup. Seniors Cole Donelson, Matt Boyce, Ethan Grother, and Alex Gadino look to make the most out of their final seasons. Practice begins immediately following the end of basketball season, sometime in early March. Those not playing basketball should begin throwing a baseball around to have their arms in shape, ready to go the first day of practice. Sweatshirt/sweatpants and t-shirt order forms for NHHS baseball can be obtained from Coach Wilson. Come and support NHHS baseball...it's a great day to be at the yard!
