On Saturday, February 8th, the NHHS JV girls basketball team placed second in the Lyndon JV Tournament. In the semi-final game they defeated Olpe to advance to the championship game. They lost to Lyndon in the championship game. The JV team has an overall record of 9-5 this season.
Due to the Winter Storm Warning, North Lyon County Schools will be closed on Wednesday, February 12th. All activities are canceled and the Board of Education Meeting is postponed until Monday, February 17th at 6:00 pm. Thank you.

Several NHHS wrestlers traveled with Council Grove to the Circle High School Invitational for a two day tournament. Logan Schlimme and Leo DeDonder both placed third and their team finished the tournament in first place! great work kids!

This week is National School Counselor's Week (Feb. 3rd-7th) "School Counselors Make a Splash!" at ELC & NLC. Students and staff will participate in Spirit Week to enjoy the week!
Congratulations to the 2025 Winter Royalty! Crowning will happen during halftime of the boys basketball game on Friday and the Winter Ball is Saturday!
Our NLC middle school "winter wonderland" dance is underway!
Today seventh graders did a photo analysis activity over the images of Manifest Destiny. Images we looked at were a painting by Emanuel Leyte, "Westward the Course of Empire" and John Gast painting of "American Progress."
Final games of the LCL basketball tournament for Northern Heights are on Saturday.
Girls will play at 9:00AM and boys at 1:30PM
NLC will have their middle school dance on Friday, January 31 from 6:30-8:30 pm. Dress is semi formal but not required- we just want kids to come and have fun. $5 entry per person. Hope to see everyone there.
