Due to heat, NLC is moving back the start of our first home football game to 7:30pm. Volleyball will begin at 5:00pm with Varsity, JV, and C games. Please come out and support all our NLC athletes this fall season and pack the stands.

NLC FOOTBALL PRACTICE UPDATE (August 31st-September 2nd): This is for Junior High Only:
Due to the extreme heat forecasted for next week. we will be moving Monday-Wednesdays practices to the morning.
Practice: 6:00am - 7:30 AM
Please make sure the athlete arrives on time and ready to go at 6:00am. I will be at the school at 5:00am to set up field and help kids get into the school so they can get ready for practice. We know this is an early start, but our priority is keeping our players safe while still getting the work we need heading into game week! If any questions come up, don't hesitate to ask!

Due to the potential for extreme heat, Mission Valley has decided to move the Cross Country meet (Sept. 3rd) to a 10:30 AM start. Jr. High will run first, followed by HS races.
Three Northern Heights students participated in the National FCCLA in Washington, D.C., this summer. Juniors Reese Houck and Josie Tiffany competed in the Chapter and Review portfolio as a team after getting gold at the State conference in Wichita, and Sophomore Addisen Petersen tested for the Interpersonal Relationship Challenge, where she placed 5th in the nation. When these students weren't competing, they were out on the town, walking through museums, touring the capital, and learning about famous monuments.
This summer Cooper Woodrow attended the Kansas State precision Agriculture Workshop. He was awarded a certificate for successful completion of the Smart Farm Challenge.
Senior class of 2027 enjoyed their first senior activity the day before school!
The NLC Jr. High volleyball team enjoyed some team bonding making spirit posters for the gym.
