NHHS HOSA students traveled to Manhattan for the State Leadership Conference. Brylee McCullough and Sam Redelfs placed in the top 10 in Forensic Science. Sydney Brotz and McKenzie Olson also placed in the top 10 in Health Career Display. They competed, learned and had some fun.


NHHS is looking to hire an Assistant Track Coach for the upcoming season. Ideally, we are seeking someone with experience or knowledge in running and/or jumping events, but all interested candidates are encouraged to apply.

NLC track meet originally scheduled for 3/27 is now on 4/2 beginning at 3:30pm. The track meet is in Emporia at the high school track.

Spring sports and activities begin this week.

After receiving input from administration and staff, the board has voted to make up this day on
FRIDAY, APRIL 18TH, 2025!!!
USD 251 has used days over the allotted amount and will need to make up “1” day. This day is considered a regular school day. If your child will be absent for any reason, please let our building secretaries know.


Several students received "Wildcat Pride Awards" at last night's board meeting. The awards were for their achievements in cross country, football, scholars bowl, volleyball, and wrestling.
One special award went to staff member Caitlin Milner who with her quick actions saved a students life.
"It's a great day to be a Wildcat!"











PreK-5th grade students at NLC Elementary enjoyed Goodies with Grandparents which included special guests, treats, fun activities, and the book fair. Thank you to everyone who helped with the event.









A quick reminder, TOMORROW is "Goodies with Grandparents" at NLC!!!


These girls are collecting items for the Shiloh House through conferences! If anyone has donations of diapers, wipes, cleaning supplies, clothes, or other baby items, you can bring them to NHHS. A donation table will be in the lobby on Thursday for conferences!

We will be serving our Banana Split Yogurt Parfait for breakfast tomorrow at NLC & ELC.


Due to winter weather conditions. North Lyon County Schools will have a two-hour delay to the start of school today, Wednesday. March 5th. There will be no breakfast served. Thank you.


This past week, students and staff at NLC Elementary had a blast celebrating Dr. Seuss with a fun-filled spirit week! Today, our kindergarten, 1st, and 2nd graders participated in Dr. Seuss Day, rotating through exciting activities inspired by his beloved books.
Thank you to our amazing teachers and staff for making this day so special!
