Seventh grade elective went to Allen to help with cleanup in preparation of the Fall Festival. Students helped with cleaning the tennis courts, clearing tree branches, and the city office.










The NLC cross country team had an impressive day at Osage City. Every runner on the team made a personal record or reached a personal goal. Cooper Spade placed third in the junior high division and the boys team finished third out of a field of 10 teams. Congratulations team on your hard work.


The Preschool has been working hard today and have enjoyed getting some play time in.





NLC PTO spirit shirts are in. They will be sent home with students on Monday. Join them for their October meeting Monday, October 9 at 6:30 in the elementary library.

Civic engagement is in full swing at NLC junior high. Students have partnered with the Americus United Methodist Church. Students have been unloading and stocking items for the food pantry.

3 of the NHHS Cheerleaders have been selected to go to CheerHawaii summer of 2024. They were selected because of their Academic status, leadership skills, ability to work with their peers, ability to travel and represent their school in a positive manner.
They will be be joining cheerleaders from all over the country to build their cheer skills, preparing for college level, leadership skill and to learn about the Hawaiian culture!

Today, the junior high students had the opportunity to read to the preschool class. It's a heartwarming way to encourage literacy and social bonding among students of different ages.

North Lyon County seventh grade elective went to Reading for the afternoon and helped out with hauling branches and started staining a gazebo. Junior High is in the process of reaching out to our district communities and to find ways to help and give back to our towns.
