We have been working hard at the Preschool. The students have been making improvements on writing their names and working on their letters!
Yesterday, Northern Heights senior, Cooper Hamlin, signed his letter of intent to play baseball for McPherson College. He is excited for the opportunity to pitch for the Bulldogs while working towards a degree in Sports Management. Congratulations Cooper!

Due to slick road conditions in areas of the district, North Lyon County will have a two hour delay to the start of school today, January 23. Alternate bus routes will be utilized. No breakfast will be served.

USD 251 will continue running the alternate bus routes with city stops only during the week of January 22nd. School staff will continue closely monitoring the gravel roads next week. We will resume regular bus routes when it is safe. Thank you for your positive support.
Northern Heights Wildcats will play in their last games of the Flint Hills Shoot Out Saturday, 1/20 before they transition to the Lyon Co. League. Come out to White Auditorium and support our athletes!
Girls lost a tough one to Council Grove and will play Central Heights at 9:00 AM.
Boys pulled out an impressive OT win against Mission Valley and will play West Franklin at 1:30 PM.

2-HOUR DELAY!!! Due to winter weather conditions, North Lyon County Schools will have a 2 hour delay to the start of school today, Friday, January 19. No breakfast will be served. Everyone stay safe.
North Lyon County Schools will be utilizing the alternate bus routes for the remainder of this week. Please note that some of the morning pick up times and afternoon drop off times have changed from today's times. In the morning, students will be picked up at NLC at 6:45, Admire 6:50, Reading 6:55, Victory Church 7:00, Allen 7:05, Allen Daycare 7:08, Northern Heights 7:10, gravel pile 7:15 for high school students and 7:35 for NLC students. NLC will be open at 7:15 am for early drop off. In the afternoon, high school students will be dropped off at their normal city stop times. NLC students will be dropped off at the gravel pile at 3:50, Victory Church 3:55, Allen 4:05, Allen Daycare 4:08, Reading 4:10, Northern Heights 4:13, and Admire 4:24. We will continue to check the gravel roads over the next few days and keep you informed when we can safely return to the regular bus schedule. If you have any questions, please call Tracy Posey.

Flint Hills Shoot Out begins tonight, 1/17/23, with the boys playing Lyndon at Lyndon, tip off 6:30 PM.
Girls begin tournament play Thursday, 1/18/23, at White Auditorium playing Lyndon @ 7:30 PM.

In the morning, students will be picked up at Reading at 6:30, NLC 6:45, Admire 6:50, Victory Church 7:00, Allen 7:00, Allen Daycare 7:05, Northern Heights 7:10, gravel pile 7:15 for high school students and 7:35 for NLC students. NLC will be open at 7:15 am for parents that need to drop students off early. In the afternoon, high school students will be dropped off at their normal city stop times. NLC students will be dropped off at the gravel pile at 3:50, Victory Church 3:55, Reading 4:00, Allen 4:10, Allen Daycare 4:15, Northern Heights 4:20, and Admire 4:30.
