USD 251 Welcomes Staff Back for Annual Back-to-School Inservice USD 251 officially welcomed back all staff yesterday with the annual "Back-to-School Inservice." In addition to essential training and professional development, the day featured delicious food and the celebration of several service awards honoring staff dedication and milestones. It was a great kickoff to the new school year! A highlight of the event was honoring John Price for 35 years of service to the district. He received a standing ovation from all staff—a well-deserved recognition for his incredible dedication and impact over the years! 5 years: Venessa Anderson, Bob Blair, Kristy Ciero, Carla Crane, Jefferson Holmes, and Stacie Horton. 10 years: Lea Hamlin, Adriane Lang, and Jacob Lang. 20 years: Aimee Landgren and Mark Robinson. 25 years: Jennifer Richmond. 35 years: John Price.

ACTIVITY ROUTES for Monday August 18th and Tuesday August 19th!!! We will only provide a shuttle to and from each building for parent pick up on both of these days. BEFORE PRACTICE! The bus will depart NLC at 2:50 pm to transport athletes to NHHS. The bus will depart NHHS at 3:20 pm to transport athletes to NLC. AFTER PRACTICE! The bus will depart NLC at 5:20 pm to transport athletes to NHHS. The bus will depart NHHS at 5:40 pm to transport athletes to NLC.

Our Kindergarten and 6th grade students had a great time at NLC orientation today! They enjoyed meeting their teachers, getting to know new classmates, and exploring their school. Here's to a fantastic start to the year!

Congratulations to the NHHS Trap Team on a successful weekend at the Kansas High School Trap Shooting State Tournament as they came back with a 2nd place finish in the 1A JV division! Our novice team also placed 9th. Congrats to Cooper Woodrow as he broke 90/100 clays and came in with a four-way tie for 6th place. There were 20 schools and 694 shooters represented in the 1A division.

Madalee Fields was recognized at last week's board meeting with a "Wildcat Pride Award!" Madalee set a new NLC Jr High high jump record this past spring clearing 4'10". Congratulations!!!

This year's student enrollment was moved from next week to July 28, 1 - 8 pm and July 29, 8 am until noon. All students will need to enroll at NLC.
